Chief Technology Officer
Role
Pro Player Connect is looking for a Chief Technology Officer. This position is responsible for defining and delivering the next-generation digital marketing and social commerce platform establishing Pro Player Connect as the dominant online marketing and brand management partner for professional athletes. The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for defining product vision, gathering and prioritizing product and market requirements, building investment justification, managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, and, most importantly, delivering winning products. The ability to innovate, motivate and problem solve are characteristics that are necessary to be successful in this role. Strong stakeholder focus is required.
Responsibilities
Duties Include
- Define, develop and communicate Pro Player Connect’s strategy
- Set product strategy enabling achievement of revenue projections in Pro Player Connect’s financial forecast
- Develop and deliver requirement, specification and user documentation with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Develop strategies for platform functionality
- Work with external parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Structure commercially-sound partnerships with business partners
- Set and manage project priorities, timelines and internal and external resources for all phases of product development and R&D life cycle
- Conduct competitive analysis and communicate competitive landscape to management and stakeholders
- Develop success metrics and measurement criteria for Product Management activities
- Deliver monthly progress reports, including actuals against revenue/budget forecasts
- Assist in developing sales and marketing tools and collateral with sales team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as Chief Technology Officer or Senior Product Manager
- Demonstrated success defining and launching scalable and profitable products, including DIY
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and successfully meeting budgets and timelines
- Demonstrated understanding of online social networking, direct-to-consumer digital marketing, online commerce, mobile applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for both technical and business audiences
- Working knowledge of relational databases and relevant commercial software applications
- Ability to work in a leadership capacity as well as individual contributor
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective technical and functional document delivered in a comparable role, upon request
- Candidate must demonstrate integrity, motivation, initiative, dependability, organizational skills and strong commercial judgment
- Candidate must be able to work in a startup company environment
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (MBA preferred)
